Facial Reconstruction Photos - Case #3212

Patient Case #3212

Procedures Performed – Facial Reconstruction:

Lip defects are often amongst the hardest regions of the face to repair. Unfortunately, the human eye is very adept at noticing asymmetry in the lip. Careful planning and meticulous technique is of the utmost importance in these cases. In this case, a special flap was used to repair the defect. Great care was taken to recreate the all-important junction between the white lip and the pink lip. (i.e. vermillion border).
