Procedures Performed – Otoplasty:
Frequently, patients come into the office for repair of torn earlobes or split earlobes—typically from earring use. This patient has a rather extreme consequence from wearing large-gauge earrings to stretch his earlobe. As dramatic as the piercing is, the same principal applies in repairing this as it does in repairing a more typical torn or split earlobe. Typically, after allowing the lobe to heal for a few weeks, the ear can be pierced again, if desired.
